Saskatchewan Polytechnic has recognized Husky Energy with its 2016 President’s Industry Partnership Award. Sask Polytech honours program, industry and alumni partners in recognition of their contributions and achievements in support of its organization and students.

Husky has helped expand the Power Engineering Technology facility to enhance operations and ultimately support students in the program.

The Industry Partnership Award is presented to an industry partner that has supported Sask Polytech’s overall mission through a variety of means and over a period of time.

“These awards honour and celebrate the partnerships that make it possible for Saskatchewan Polytechnic to provide skills and education that are relevant and responsive to industry’s needs, and is the foundation for successful careers,” said Dr. Larry Rosia, Sask Polytech’s president and CEO.

Since 2013, Husky has invested more than $1 million in the school’s power engineering lab and program development, including scholarships for third-class power engineering students and work experience.
