Husky Energy supports Paradise Hill Community Centre
PARADISE HILL (February 24, 2014) - The Town of Paradise Hill is pleased to announce a $50,000 donation from Husky Energy towards construction of the Paradise Hill Community Centre.
“This new facility will serve as an important gathering place, while providing the community with access to health and wellness spaces,” said Paul Zorgdrager, Husky Vice-President, LloydminsterProduction Operations - Heavy Oil. “Husky is part of the communities where it operates, the communities our employees and their families call home.”
Neil Macnab, a director with the Paradise Hill Community Centre, says the donation will help achieve their fundraising goal.
“The volunteers on our board have been working hard to gain the support of individuals and companies to meet our fundraising target. We have seen this project get closer and closer to final design and look forward to the much anticipated start of construction,” he said. “It is truly gratifying to be a part of such a large project in a small community and see companies in the Paradise Hill area give back to community projects.”
The construction of the Paradise Hill Community Centre is expected to begin this fall with an estimated completion date of fall/winter 2015.
