Calgary Employee Charity Campaign Sets New Record
Husky Energy’s Calgary employees have wrapped up their annual fundraising campaign, which will provide $740,000 to 10 local charities. Employees choose the organizations receiving the funds.
Husky has held an employee giving campaign for 50 years.
“Over the last five years, employees have invested over $3 million in 33 local agencies through the charitable campaign,” said CEO Asim Ghosh. “The charities we invest in are making a difference to the lives of so many in our community.”
The charities participating this year are:
- Alberta Children’s Hospital
- Calgary Humane Society
- Calgary Food Bank
- Calgary Zoo
- Canadian Cancer Society
- Habitat for Humanity
- Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta
- Kids’ Help Phone
- Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter
- The Mustard Seed
Husky also has employee giving programs at its operational locations, including several areas in Western Canada and in Lima, Ohio.
